There is no other chef whose name is practically synonymous with Seattle than Tom Douglas. The James Beard Outstanding Restaurateur has been cooking up a storm since 1984. Five years later, he opened his first restaurant, the Dahlia Lounge. Since then, Douglas has opened 13 full-service restaurants; an event space, a cooking school and a product line including rubs, sauces, mustards, and knives. All of his restaurants can be found in the greater Seattle and each one has its own unique personality.



Assembly Hall

Assembly Hall starts off its day with fresh pressed juice and coffee. It serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and has one fine happy hour too.



Brave Horse Tavern

Sounding like an average bar, the Brave Horse Tavern is nothing but. Serving up elevated pub fare and seasonal specials, Brave Horse is still causal enough to watch an afternoon football game.



Cantina Lena

Cantina Lena boasts of Yucatan flavors with their own smoked meats, charred veggies and ceviche. Here you’ll find pork carnitas nachos and crispy cheese and kimchi quesadillas and one speedy place to meet for a business lunch.

Trattoria Cuoco

Dahlia Bakery

The Dahlia Bakery is not only home to iconic Triple Coconut Cream Pie, but also Tom’s Tasty Tomato Soup and in between you’ll find a slew of artisan breads, pastries, cakes, breakfast items and more.

Etta’s Restaurant

Lola

Lola is a hybrid of a restaurant that serves Pacific Northwest fare with a Greek accent.



Palace Kitchen

Instead of hiding the kitchen, this restaurant spotlights it. Diners sit in dimly lit booths while watching the action of grilling whole trout and chickens over an Applewood grill.



Rub With Love Shack

Located in the Pike Place Market, here you can enjoy sandwiches, salads and snacks with many of them seasoned with Douglas’s own “Rub with Love” products. If you like what you taste, you can buy some of the rub and take it home with you.

Serious Pie

Serious Pie is described as “a pizzeria with a bread baker's soul which serves up pies with blistered crusts, lightly textured with just enough structure and bite.”

Almost a repeat of Serious Pie, but this location adds buttery biscuits and a “serious” bar to the mix. 



Tanakasan

Located in the Denny Regrade neighborhood, Tanakasan mixes modern L.A.-styled food with Japanese favorites like dumplings, bento boxes, coconut beef and sake slushies.



Department Bento

Awhile back, Douglas collaborated with Nordstrom to create Japanese bento boxes with a Northwest twist. The mix and match approach includes traditional proteins, rice and pickled vegetables. You’ll find Department Bento at the Bellevue Square Nordstrom store.
