Here in the greater Seattle area, whenever the sun is out, it is a cause for a celebration. People here can’t wait to find an excuse to get outside. April is an especially fun month for families whatever the weather. Here are just a few of the fun things planned this year.

Tulip Festival

Although the organizers of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival are at the mercy of Mother Nature, the yearly event takes place all month long from April 1-30, 2018. It is a celebration of millions of tulips coming to bloom (and the cause for long traffic lines on the weekends.) Taking place in various location in Skagit Valley, the Tulip Festival is consider a driving tour. Due to crop rotation, the fields are in different locations each year, but both RoozenGaarde and Tulip Town are your best bets for fantastic displays of tulips to photograph. A favorite event for many, it can become quite crowded on the weekends, so if you are able to visit during the week, it will make for a much more relaxed outing.
