New Year’s Eve is a big deal in Seattle. Believing that underneath the masks, we are all one, Bollywood Masquerade is a celebration of diversity that is actually being held the night before New Year’s Eve. The dance party includes one festive mask, special dance lesson at 10:00 p.m., henna done by donation and music by Live2Dance and Brittany Newton. The event goes from 9:00 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. and tickets start at $15 each.

This year, hang out with your friends from the Moisture Festival at Hale’s Palladium. Beginning at 8:00 p.m., enjoy a variety of performances, dance, laugh, eat and enjoy a great night. Tickets include complimentary appetizers, a midnight champagne toast, giant red balloon dropped at midnight and performances by Lamonte & The Family Affair, Avner the Eccentric, Godfrey Daniels, Ron W. Beginning at 9:00 p.m., the Seattle Symphony welcomes pianist and singer, Tony DeSare for a night of piano’s greatest hits by such greats as Elton John, Ray Charles, John Lennon and more. The night concludes with a post-concert party with champagne, more live performances and dancing. Tickets range from $56-$154.

Beginning at 9:00 p.m., The Pacific Science Center will add dancing and a champagne toast in addition to its regular laser shows, science exhibits and live demos. Plus a great view of the Space Needle fireworks. The night includes top DJs from KEXP, plenty of “sciencey” entertainment, access to a cash bar, a photo booth with props, food to purchase, games and live entertainment, party favors and a complimentary midnight toast.
