Best Of Belltown

Best Of Belltown

Image title

Some of the best things about the Belltown neighborhood in Seattle is that it is close enough to the hustle and bustle of downtown and still part of the big city without feeling smothered. Here you’ll find one-of-a kind boutiques, thrift shops, restaurants, bars and more. The neighborhood is home to iconic Cinerama movie theater where you can enjoy chocolate popcorn while watching blockbuster movies on the (really) big screen. Just down the street you find two “escape room” experiences and both the Seattle Center and downtown are just a short bus ride away, albeit in different directions.

Take an urban hike along the shores of Elliott Bay and walk through the Olympic Sculpture Park where you’ll walk past and through some larger-than-life works of art by Northwest artists.

The neighborhood has a high Walk Score and transit score of 98 and a bike score that isn’t too shabby either with 77. Area Vibes gives the neighborhood a livability score of 73 including an A+ for amenities, A- for housing, B+ for employment, B for weather and a B- for education. The neighborhood scored lower for crime (C-) and cost of living (F).

Kerry Park (211 W Highland Dr., Seattle, WA 98119) has great views of Elliott Bay, ocean ferries and Mount Rainier on a good day. The park is also a hit with the kids with the playground.

The locals appreciate the Umi Sake House (2230 1st Ave, Seattle, WA 98121 -,

Mama Cantina (2234 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121 - and

Tom Douglas unusual but delicious Serious Pie pizza joint (316 Virginia St, Seattle -
