On New Year’s Eve, New Yorkers watch the ball drop. In Seattle, we watch the Space Needle elevator go to the top and explode with a shower of lights. The lighting of fireworks off the top and sides of the Space Needle is pretty spectacular and free. However, if you’d like to stay WARM, you might want to choose one of the following venues (which many include a viewing area of the big event.) There is a lot to choose here. If you are a fan of Bollywood, science, pop culture, music and dancing, then we’ve got a party for you.
Believing that underneath the masks, we are all one, Bollywood Masquerade is a celebration of diversity that is actually being held the night before New Year’s Eve. Your dance party ticket includes one festive mask, special dance lesson at 10:00 p.m., henna tattoo (done by donation) all night long and non-stop music by DJs Prashant, D.J. Nayiram and Skee. The event goes from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and tickets start at $20 each.
Beginning at 9:00 p.m., the Seattle Symphony performs “The Doo Wop Project” which includes the music of Smokey Robinson, The Temptation, The Four Seasons, etc.). The night includes three hours of dancing, a countdown and a champagne toast, more live performances and dancing.
“People in glass houses should throw parties” says the Chihuly Garden and Glass. At their pARTy you can dine and dance under the fireworks from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The night includes a tour of the exhibition, appetizers, desserts and two drink tickets, live music from the Michael Benson Band, two drink tickets plus a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $250 per person.
Billed as Seattle’s biggest New Year’s Eve party, “Indulgence” is actually four parties in one with three areas of live entertainment, two VIP areas and over 20 bars spread throughout 140,000 feet of party space which is good since they are expecting 2,000 people to attend. Live music, comedy, a “single mingle” and access to most (if not all) of the MoPOP exhibits. The event begins at 9:00 p.m. and finishes up with the Space Needle fireworks at midnight. Don’t feel like standing outside in the cold? You can still see it all from the giant screens inside. Tickets range from $69-$350.
From 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., the Pacific Science Center boasts of the best view of the Space Needle fireworks at Spectra 2019. The $125 ticket includes your first drink as well as a champagne toast at midnight, after-hours access to exhibits, live DJs, science demos, laser shows (and laser karaoke – whatever that is) and more.
The WaMu Theater will be transformed into Resolution 2019, a dance party like no other (and also one of the longest parties). This 18+ event features over 18 different artists playing dance music on three different stages from 6:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.

"One of their team members stopped by my house on Lake Sammamish just two days before my property was to be sold at auction. I told them that I was under water and couldn’t sell. He insisted that I speak with Ky DeWald and Adam Mickelson to see if there was anything that could be done. I finally agreed. They were able to not only stop my auction and get me another 90 days in my house but also put over $125,000.00 in my pocket and sold my house for $1,550,000.00!!! I couldn’t be happier!!! Thanks guys for all the help!"
