Getting great seafood is actually pretty easy, but some places are more picturesque than others. Here are only five of the best places to dine with a view in the greater Seattle area.

Located on the appropriately named Harbor Avenue, Salty’s on Alki is a five-star diamond award-winning restaurant with an incredible views of Elliott Bay and the Seattle skyline. Salty’s is one unique restaurant where you’ll feel like you fit in whether you dress up or down. The place is a favorite for weddings, weekend brunches and summer sunset dinners. In addition to amazing seafood, Salty’s also offers Angus beef, pasta, chicken, salads, sandwiches and more.

Located at the end of Pier 57 you’ll The Crab Pot restaurant which offers views of the Puget Sound and the Seattle Great Wheel which puts on its own light show every night. In addition to traditional seafood dishes, The Crab Pot’s specialties include a mix of steamed seafood and spices that’s poured out in front of you with butcher paper, a mallet and bibs. The Cove includes clams, mussels, shrimp, andouille sausage, corn on the cob and red potatoes. The Westport is the same with the addition of Dungeness crab and snow crab and the Alaskan adds King crab to the mix as well.

Those from Seattle are familiar with Ivars seafood restaurants, but many have not tried at the Mukilteo location which sits above the bay and right next to the Mukilteo ferry landing. Whether dining inside or on the outside deck, the view is worth taking in no matter what time of year it is. Although reservations are recommended, chances are still fairly good that you can snag a table without them fairly easily. Ivar’s is a Seattle institution.

Anthony’s Homeport restaurants have grown over the last few years with location planted all up and down the coast of Washington. The Everett Marina location is a little quieter than the chain’s other restaurants with dining available indoor and out depending on the weather. The view includes beautiful boats sitting in the marina, fantastic sunsets and cool breezes. The Sample Sunset Dinner served from 4:00-6:00 p.m. gives you the best bang for your buck. If seafood isn’t your thing, just a few doors down sits Anthony’s Woodfire Grill Restaurant which features a whole different type of menu including grilled chicken and steaks.

Located on Silver Lake in Everett is Emory’s, a Wine Spectator Award-Winning restaurant. The Northwest lodge-type restaurant is causal and comfortable. It sits on a relatively quiet lake with lots of curios ducks swimming by to see what you’re having for dinner. The Lakeside Bistro and Bar not only offers great seafood, but also other choices not found in other similar restaurants like their own woodstone pizza, pork chops, inventive salads and tasty sandwiches.
